Family adventure in the Silvretta Arena

Samnaun/Ischgl

ALPTRIDER SATTEL

In recent years, the Alptrider Sattel has developed into a great adventure park for families.

In addition to the disc golf course between Samnaun Dorf and Samnaun-Ravaisch, there is now also a disc golf course on the mountain. It has a length of nine holes. The aim of each course is to hit the frisbee (disc) from the drop into the target basket in as few throws as possible. The Frisbees can be hired at various places, for example at ZEGG Sport & Mode, at the guest information in Samnaun Dorf, at the mountain railway ticket office (valley station) or directly at the sports centre on the Alptrider Sattel.

In addition to the disc golf round, there is also a wooden ball track, nature showcases and a playground with trampoline, swing, sandpit, seesaw, water feature and climbing frame at the Alptrider Sattel.

Monster scooters can also be rented at the sports centre. With these scooters with wide tyres you can ride down the two flow trails from the Viderjoch and the Alptrider Sattel with your family. The minimum age is 10 years. The scooters can be hired daily from July to mid-September between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm - no scooters are hired in rainy weather.

At the valley station of the Flimsattelbahn N1, directly at the Milbach, is the Family Climbing and Bouldering Park. Nine boulders and a climbing rock can be conquered on various routes. The terrain is also suitable for beginners. Securing can be done via a kind of via ferrata. When renting equipment at the sports centre on the Alptrider Sattel, you will be trained in correct belaying. The equipment can be rented daily from July to mid-September between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm - in rainy weather the climbing and bouldering park remains closed.

Experienced boulderers climb the rocks without belaying. Bouldering mats can be rented on site.

ISCHGL

At the Vider Truja adventure park on the Idalp (2320 m.a.s.l.) there are numerous attractions for your children to play in and cosy places for you to relax. Children can spend hours having fun in the water park, on the bouldering tower, the slackline, the sand play area or at the trampolines.

There are also several barbecue areas around the Vider Truja with open fireplaces, barbecue grills, benches and tables. You have to bring your own barbecue utensils, wood is available.

The Vider Truja (Truja is Rhaeto-Romanic and means "trampling path for cows") is only a few minutes' walk from the valley station of the Flimjochbahn (B2) and from the Alpenhaus mountain restaurant and Videralp. The sun terraces invite you to enjoy the mountain sun and good food and return to Samnaun on the chairlifts after a fulfilling day.

If your family is looking for the ultimate thrill, then SKYFLY in Ischgl is the place to be. On a secured steel cable you fly 50 metres above the ground and at up to 85 kilometres per hour through the Ischgl Kitzloch gorge towards the valley. The start at the middle station of the Silvrettabahn (A1) is at 1683 metres above sea level, the finish on the roof terrace of the valley station 3-S Pardatschgratbahn (A2) at 1376 metres above sea level. The total flying time for the 307 metres of depth is three minutes. There are two ropes next to each other so you can fly at the same time.

The SKYFLY will be in operation from Saturday, 29 June to Sunday, 8 September 2024 and Saturday, 29 September 2023 to Sunday, 13 October 2024. Open Tuesday to Sunday daily from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, with Mondays off. Subject to change due to weather conditions.

Adventures on the water and in the forest await guests young and old at the Adventure Stage between the Schwarzwassersee and the Pardatschersee. The forest & lakeside course, consisting of elements made of stone, wood and ropes, as well as a bouldering wall, climbing towers, a reed glider and the slackline course promise lots of action. In addition, various stations around the lakes provide information about flora and fauna.
