La Grotta Raclette-Fondue Restaurant

During the winter season, in the La Grotta you will be spoiled with different traditional meat fondues, cheese fondue, dishes from the hot plate for grilling at the table, and with original Swiss Raclette a la Discretion every day from 6 pm. A special highlight is the Fondue Chinoise Original with Asian ingredients. The La Grotta was furnished with old barn wood from Samnaun, and features an unmistakable rustic ambience. In this typical Swiss restaurant you can choose from more than 100 Swiss wines or from the big wine card with 1000 labels. If you visit us as a group and someone is not in the mood for fondue, raclette and similar, we are pleased to serve the dishes from the La Pasta Restaurant in La Grotta as well.

Product origin

Only the perfect cheese mix can make a perfect cheese fondue. We purchase the cheese in the local dairy in Samnaun. The cheese for our raclette dishes travels a little further. The whole cheese loaves come from the Wallis region in south-west Switzerland. In the La Grotta Restaurant the loaves are halved and put into big raclette ovens. Meat and vegetables come either from the Engadin or from the neighbouring Tyrol. The chocolate fondue tastes of course best with Swiss chocolate!
